The story of God is set in a marvellous backdrop of time & space, land & water, people & place. This journey, “Geography of the Sacred,” helps us rediscover God’s story in a whole new way, and find our place in it.
Join Pastor Roland Syens as he returns to Israel with a group eager to explore the Sacred Geography of land and spirit through Scripture, worship, prayer, preaching and expert guiding. We will stay in comfortable hotels, travel in an air conditioned coach, eat well and enjoy great fellowship.
Throughout the journey, we will have onsite teaching from Pastor Roland and from a local expert guide, giving us deeper insight and wider understanding of the meaning of our faith in its context.
Sail the Sea of Galilee, worship and rejoice on and beside the water where Jesus performed many miracles. Pray in the quiet of the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives. Eat bread and fish, and remember God’s miraculous provision for all time. Wander through desert tracks, reciting Psalms and remembering you have a Good Shepherd. Stay in Jerusalem, see where Jesus taught in the Temple and walked the way of suffering. Stand in the place of resurrection, and cry, “Holy, holy, holy” is the One who was, is, and is to come! We will sing, we will grow, and we will return with hearts restored and renewed for His service.
Pastor Roland Syens is a (refired) retired Lutheran Church-Canada Pastor. He and Anita welcome you to join this journey, whatever your church affiliation. Included in the tour is all you need for a comfortable, safe, exhilarating journey. Please come! Group airfare is available from Vancouver and Toronto; pilgrims may meet the group in Israel, coming from anywhere.
