When Jesus said, “Come away and rest awhile” it was for life-transforming renewal, not to withdraw into oblivion. Sometimes we want to get away almost so we can “give up,” but that’s not our call! We are called deeper into the Presence of the Holy One, whose perfect plans are ONLY possible to fulfil through these “getting away” times.
